The Pro Padel League (PPL) and AFP Courts have announced a strategic partnership agreement that makes adidas the official on-court brand of the PPL, marking a significant milestone for North America’s first and only professional padel league. adidas will be present throughout the PPL season, which begins with two consecutive events at the Ultra Club in Miami on April 2.
As part of the agreement, AFP Courts will become the official court supplier to the league and will lead the development of adidas and PPL co-branded courts. In addition, AFP Courts and PPL will collaborate on initiatives to grow padel in North America and further its global expansion.
Marcos del Pilar, commissioner of the PPL, assures that “the PPL is excited about the partnership with AFP Courts, they share our commitment and are committed to the mission of growing padel in the US, having prioritised this market since 2018”.
“Six years ago, AFP Courts began to promote this fast-growing sport in the United States,” said José Delgado, Co-CEO of AFP. “Today, two of the best positioned brands in the sports industry, the Professional Padel League and adidas, are joining forces to promote padel and its practice throughout the United States. I am convinced that this alliance will mark an important milestone in the padel industry worldwide”.
The PPL’s mission is to create the most attractive version of paddle tennis for fans of the sport in North America. It is the first of its kind, and the only professional padel league in the world, to feature competitions based on an attractive and unique franchise format from different American cities.
